Lego my Agile

What better way to learn about a topic than by playing a game? At Tuesday’s gathering of the local Agile Project Management Meetup Group, lego was the ultimate medium used by Agile practitioners, both new and experienced, to help gain a basic understanding of how high-quality software is approached and delivered. Some of the fundamental practices and principles that Glenn Bernsohn, Sr. Agile Project Manager/Coach at Orthogonal, covered were: Iterations, Stories, Estimating, Retrospectives, Velocity and other relevant aspects. The Agile Game challenged participants to take on integral Agile roles of Developers and Iteration Managers to produce a product, in this case, a Lego’d animal with enclosure. Here were the creative results:

Close to two hours of guidance and hands-on collaboration resulted in a workshop that was fun from start to finish, one manic lego piece at a time. See the rest of the fun-charged pictures (slide show).
