Orthogonal will be at the American Medical Device (AMD) Summit from October 28-29, 2019.

Located at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel in Chicago, IL, the AMD Summit brings together senior-level executives in the medical device industry to share insights on the latest trends in medical device development, quality management, speed to market, manufacturing, and product lifecycle management.

Orthogonal CEO Bernhard Kappe will be hosting a roundtable at the event, where he’ll cover best practices for managing patient safety and regulatory compliance for medical device mobile application development.

“Patient-facing mobile applications have become a critical element for medical device manufacturers’ connected health strategy, especially for implanted, wearable and portable devices. However, mobile applications come with new challenges: hundreds of different combinations of smartphone and operating system variants in the hands of consumers (with new ones every month), Bluetooth communications, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity, and patient engagement — all while managing patient safety and regulatory compliance.”

In addition to medical device mobile application best practices, the roundtable discussion will explore common challenges faced in medical device mobile application development, lessons learned from years of experience, and other related issues.

Orthogonal will also be exhibiting at Booth #25. Stop by our booth in the exhibit hall to meet our team and learn more about our work.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in learning more about mobile applications for medical devices and Orthogonal’s connected medical device software development services, contact us or call us at (312) 372-1058.

We look forward to seeing you there!
